Bingo: Things to Know at the Start

They are two common types of bingo, the 70-ball and the 90-ball. In the 70-ball bingo, the numbers covered are from 0-70 and in the 90-ball bingo the numbers, yup; you guessed it, 0-90.

The bingo caller will say the numbers selected randomly from the bin or crate. The letter of which the number falls is also mentioned. As an example the bingo caller will say, "B-23." If you have the number 23 under the B column, you mark it out. If your mark finishes the specified pattern for that game, you yell, "BINGO!" and a bingo spotter will come to your table to check on your win. If it is confirmed that you won, the pot will be yours.

You have to pay to get a bingo card. The bingo cards are distributed at the start of the bingo game. The bingo cards hold a unique arrangement of numbers with no two cards in a single game the same. The bingo pattern for the win will also be announced. The bingo pattern could be as simple as a five in a row, a diagonal line, or whatever combination. A non-bingo player will say the numbers as the bingo players look for the numbers on their bingo cards.

You will use the bingo daubers to mark out the numbers called that are present on your bingo card. Start to mark out your card when the bingo caller has said the numbers. Take note of the pattern for it may match the one mentioned earlier at the start of the bingo game. The number cannot be called twice in a bingo game. When you get a bingo, the game is over and a new bingo game begins. But until there is no bingo player yelling bingo, the game will go on until such time there is a winner.
